Ich sage Dankeschön für die letzten 10 Jahre und kehre mit einem meiner ersten Endjahresgrüße zum Anfang zurück – einem großen Keks ohne gesundheitlichen Mehrwert, aber dafür mit viel Zucker für eine kurze Pause zwischendurch.

10 years have passed and I want to say thank you by getting back to my roots with one of my first end-of-the-year-greetings – a giant cookie with no health benefits but loads of sugar for a short break in between.

Good Bye 2021 – Hello 2021. Zum diesjährigen Jahresabschluss haben meine Kunden:inn Rubbeltattoos und in Berlin hergestellte Cookies erhalten. Alles komplett plastikfrei.

Good Bye 2021 – Hello 2021. To celebrate the last year, my all of my clients got temporary rub-on tattoos and cookies made in Berlin. And everything without plastic.

Same procedure as last year – instead of a traditional xmas party, my office decided again to host a local but remote event.

Auch in 2021 hat meine Bürogemeinschaft auf eine klassische Präsenz-Weihnachtsfeier verzichtet und zum zweiten Mal die Nicht-Feier zelebriert.

Update: The Job had been already filled. // No, I don’t need another office-plant. Clearly I‘ve got plenty. I‘m looking for a Berlin based graphic design student, who will join my team – from October 2020 to end of February 2021.

Auch wenn unsere Bürogemeinschaft momentan nur aus leeren Räumen besteht, werde ich keine Feiertage ausfallen lassen. Auch wenn es dieses Jahr etwas anders umgesetzt wird, findet in der Rudolfstr. trotzdem Ostern statt.

Der Sommer kommt – gestern war der offizielle „erfinde-deinen-eigenen-Feiertag-Tag“. Selbstverständlich habe ich mich dazu entschlossen den Beginn der Sommerzeit und die Hoffnung zu feiern.

For this years HTW student exhibtion, Ms. M. and Mr. R. joined the squat. Previous to the showcase was an outdoor Yoga class. Here are some selected hightlights of the wide range of the exhibits.

Neben dem jährlichen Kongress und der Ausstellung des Art Director Clubs, habe ich dieses Jahr die Insights besucht. Das ist eine Workshop-/Vortrag-Reihe mit limitierten Plätzen, aber komplett kostenfrei.

In addition to the Art Directors Club congress and exhibition, I signed up for the „insights“. It is a mixture of workshops and talks from a well-chosen pool of companys. There is no extra fee, but the number of tickets is limited.

My office is slowly growing – my latest arrival is the mini-biotope by Waldglas. This time the BGD opened their doors in at Xlane in Kreuzberg.

Am 25. August war der erste FFF Day (Female Future Force) in Berlin. Mit zahlreichen Speakern aus der Wirtschaft und den Medien waren auch kleine bis sehr große Firmen vor Ort mit Snacks von Zuckertüten bis zur „Hand-Wurst“.

On the 25th of August was the first FFF-Day (Female Future Force) conference in Berlin. A good mixture of national entrepreneurs and international speakers – with colourful candy and (weirdly but good) sausages.

Teil des ADC Festivals war, neben dem Kongress, auch die mehrwöchige Ausstellung. Hier zeigten die großen Agenturen ihre schönsten Umsetzungen. Neulinge der Branche präsentierten ihre Semesterprojekte.

The exhibition was part of the ADC festival 2018. Project of the major German design / advertising agencies and university projects from the newcomers were displayed in as equals.

Nach ein paar Holpersteinen mit der Deutschen Bahn – hatten Asoomda Kim und ich den Tag auf dem ADC Kongress in Hamburg verbracht.

After tackling some minor problems with the German railroad company – Asoomda Kim and I had a wonderful day at the ADC congress 2018.

Spontan mit Henrike Ott zum 4. Neuköllner KreativKongress – wir lernten den Bezirksbürgermeister (seit 3 Wochen dabei) kennen und hatten zusätzlich gute Gespräche mit anderen Selbstständigen.

Henrike Ott and I made the decisions to take a spontaneous trip to the Neuköllner KreativKongress No. 4 – we met the new district mayor and a lot of local freelancers and small businesses.

Last Saturday, the Berlin Graphic Days took place for the 7th time @Urban Spree. They didn’t have the „human photo booth“, where a guy pretends to be a machine, but the 1:1 Berghain-Guide.

Am Samstag lud Urban Spree zu den 7. Berlin Graphic Days ein. Diesmal leider ohne „lebenden Fotoautomat“, aber dafür mit Berghain-Guide.

Students of the technical college, HTW, present their semester projects. A good mixture between socially critical issues and classical typographic solutions.

Die Studenten der HTW aus Berlin haben ihre besten Arbeiten vorgestellt. Neben gesellschaftskritischen Werken, gab es eine Reihe von vielfältigen typografischen Lösungen.

Nach drei Jahren Tempelhof, ist die DMY Ausstellung ins alte Kraftwerk in Kreuzberg gezogen. Neben dem Schwerpunkt Interior Design Super bietet sie auch Raum für viele weitere Projekte.

After 3 years, the DMY fair moved to the „Kraftwerk“ in Kreuzberg. Even if the main focus is interior design, there are a lot of other ideas to explore.

For the last time, the DMY will be held at the „Flughafen Tempelhof“ of Berlin. Lampshades-drills and chessboards made out of pasta and erasers.

Die DMY 2014 ist ein letztes Mal in den Hangars des ehemaligen Tempelhofer Flughafens. Von Bohrmaschinen-Lampenschirmen bis Schachbrettern aus Nudeln und Radiergummis sind viele schöne Objekte wieder dabei.
